Wellesley Park

For the May Day bank holiday weekend, we went away with family to Somerset. In total there were 8 adults and 3 children… All in one house.

But, we needn’t have worried about the amount of space we’d have to roam as my sister-in-law had booked a GORGEOUS place called Springfields at Wellesley Park near Wells in Somerset.

My first vlog

As well as a fab holiday, it was a great chance for me to launch my very first vlog! I hope you enjoy it, it includes a tour of the house, a few mishaps along the way and a few fun cheese facts from our tour of the Chedder Cheese factory.

Of course, I also used the holiday as a good excuse to take a few snaps… here are a couple of my favourites…

This was the sign outside of the house.

Alpacas on a farm

There was a pack of Alpacas outside our front window! Georgia loved looking at them… and pointing. I even managed to spot them chasing off a fox and clashing necks – proving that they can be exciting. I love this picture for the fact that most are lying down in ‘hover alpaca mode’, with one solitary alpaca standing guard a few feet away. There’s just something about that lonesome alpaca that I love. I also love detailing of the bare tree against the contrast of the blue sky. Nature at its best. 🙂

Springfields at Wellesley Park

As you can see from the video, our living room was just HUGE! With an open plan living room, dining room, kitchen and second living area, it was a fantastic place for kids. They can always be seen and the only other rooms are the bedrooms, bathrooms and utility room.

This meant that there was a lot of room for the kids to run around without the house feeling cramped.

Each of the four bedrooms (2 doubles and 2 twins with 2 extra pull out beds in twin room) also had an en-suite which was really nice not to have to form an orderly queue at the beginning of the day. As a baby bolthole, it also came with lots of toddler friendly accessories such as a travel cot with bedding, baby bath, socket covers, 2 highchairs, toys, games a wii… the list goes on.

Not only was I impressed with how baby friendly it was, but I was also impressed with how high quality everything was. Gorgeous surroundings with an on site pool – I didn’t see anybody else use the pool other than our family throughout the stay which was lovely!

We had a really lovely family holiday. It was just so nice to spend some quality time with everybody and we definitely want to go back soon!

If you have watched my video and enjoyed it, please do subscribe to keep up to date with my future vlogs and leave me a comment to let me know what you think.

That place looks amazing, it’s huge! And I have to admit to laughing at you saying ‘videos’ and then correcting yourself, I still talk about ‘taping’ things off the tv! x #TwinklyTuesday
