As 2015 comes to an end, it’s inevitable that I start to think about the year ahead.
I’m very much a life-planner, so here are 5 things that I’d like to accomplish in 2016.
Okay, it’s not a very original goal, but one that I really am going to start sticking to in January. I don’t want to try any fad diets as let’s face it, they don’t work long-term and result in yo-yo dieting. No, instead, I want to eat healthier, exercise more. Although I lost a bit of weight post-pregnancy, it’s not nearly enough.
I’ve got about 1 stone to lose!
We’ve been in our house for about 5 years now and it was always going to be a 5 year house.
With Georgia, we also now have a new list of things we want with a house… a garage, off road parking, a bigger living room or space for her to play, an en-suite… the list goes on. It’s a big one… but one that I’m quite excited about for 2016. I’m sure the stress of it all will help with the weight loss too.
Improve my photography
I’m getting a fancy pants SLR camera for Christmas, so I’m looking forward to learning how to use it properly to take some great photos in 2016.
I’ve always been the one behind the helm of our point and click camera, but I’m looking forward to learning how to improve my photography to take advantage of light, white space etc to take some amazing photos… fingers crossed but I know it won’t be a short journey!
Go self-hosted with the blog
I’ve already bought my own domain, but in 2016, I’d really like to be up to a stage where I can go self-hosted. This will allow me to add a few behind the scenes bells and whistles.
As a reader, you may not notice the difference… but for a blogger this is pretty big stuff and the equivalent of taking your training wheels off your bike.
Treat myself to more me time
It may not seem like a lot, but I need to start treating myself to proper me time. Whether that’s going out with friends (without the babies) or getting my hair cut and coloured.
It’s time spent where I can be purely selfish to unwind to reignite that fire that keeps mummy’s going. I want to do something like this at least once a month which I think is realistic!
