My 2 top secret ways to save on brands

I am a self-obsessed Joules fan. When they release new ranges my fingers get tingly to press the buy button… but I often have to wait for the right time to buy. When the right time does come around, either my size isn’t available, or it sells out completely.

So? I needed a new solution.

You may have already seen how I find Joules bargains on Amazon by shopping around or finding things in a sale to buy brands on a budget. But what happens when I NEED something in the new range that just can’t wait?

For me, it was a new sleeveless dress (yes, more stripes). I drooled over the picture for ages and it was one of those items that I NEEDED.

But, so soon after Georgia’s  second birthday, my bank balance is feeling a little delicate. There were also no current sales or offers on, having just missed one (d’oh!).

I dug deep and found a couple of ways to save when there isn’t an offer without splashing the cash…

1. Look for voucher codes online

I first searched online for voucher codes. I found one code to get £10 off when I spent over £60. Score.

It’s also sometimes worth checking out the website and their social media accounts to check for any related offer codes that may not have yet made it to voucher code websites.

2. Buy unwanted vouchers

I next looked at Zeek*, a website where you can buy and sell unwanted gift vouchers. It’s such an easy site to use and within minutes, I’d bought £50 Joules voucher for only £46. Sure, it’s only £4, but every penny counts!

As soon as I’d purchased, my code appeared to redeem my newly purchased Joules voucher online (I could have also redeemed it in store by printing it off). Within minutes, I used it on the Joules site to buy my much needed dress and it worked perfectly.

It was such a quick transaction and I’m not sure why I hadn’t thought about doing it before to save a bit of extra cash.

So in total, I saved £14 on RRP – a saving of 20% even though the site had no current voucher codes and the item wasn’t in a sale anywhere.

Good huh?

As you can also sell unwanted gift cards on Zeek, I’m looking forward to redeeming a few unused cards and putting them to good use!

Have you got any secret tips that you use when looking to buy new items for less? Let me know!
